Hello everyone Rob Lynch here, the question for today is, “Have you met the numbers and accomplished the goals you said way back in January?”
As I wrote in my July 5th blog if the answer is no, you should consider a tune-up. A tune-up focuses on the four critical decisions that companies need to get right to grow, scale and thrive.
What are the four critical decisions, the first is people. Is everyone in your company pulling their own weight and contributing as they should? If you had to start the company all over again today, would you enthusiastically rehire everyone in your company?
The second decision is strategy. The key to sustainable top-line growth is threefold, who is your core customer and what are their key emotions as it relates to their buying decisions. How do you solve those key emotions in a way that is different or uncommon in the marketplace and what is your big hairy audacious goal for sustainable revenue growth into the future?
The third decision is execution. Have you established a healthy culture of accountability and empowerment, resulting in precise execution, which dramatically improves margins and profitability and saves you time. There is a saying “routine sets you free.” As Vernon Hornish, founder and CEO of Gazelles International and a best-selling author in “Scaling up and Mastering the Rockefeller Habit” said, “goals without routines or wishes and routines without goals are aimless”
The fourth and final decision is cash. Growth sucks cash. Do you know how to calculate your cash conversion cycle? It measures the time it takes when you first spend a dollar to when you put that dollar back in your pocket.
So, if you are not where you want to be halfway through the year and if a tune-up sounds like something you should do please contact me and let’s talk. Thank you.
